My Speedmaster First Watch Worn On The Moon is nearly 56 years old. The watch is in pristine condition and was serviced by Omega several years ago. The watch has the original expansion bracelet made for NASA by Speidel. I wear the watch often and decided to set the bracelet aside as I didn’t want to break it. So I decided to go with a black rubber strap with a deployment buckle. After a long bit of research I decided to go with Anchor. I appreciate the family owned business and liked the way the strap fit the curve of of case. I didn’t want a simple straight edge watch strap. I ordered the strap (20 mm) and received it within a very reasonable time. I removed the bracelet and installed the Anchor rubber strap in about 3 minutes. Extremely easy to install due to the spring loaded pins. The strap fits perfectly! Looks like it came with the watch. The buckle was super easy to adjust and the strap fit’s perfectly on my wrist. I couldn’t be more pleased. The quality of the strap is without question.Very subtle and comfortable.
If you have an older Speedmaster I wouldn’t hesitate putting an Anchor rubber strap on it. As a matter of fact I’m seriously looking at getting another one in blue for a change of pace.
